Acrylic skins || Rachel Loewens

The process of making an acrylic skin is rather straight forward. You layer thin coats of paint onto a smooth substrate, wait for them to all cure, and then pull them off. Simple, right? Well, kinda.

Once you factor in different types of paint with their different viscosities, the number of layers you've put down, the pliability of your substrate and the humidity of your working area, you have enough variables to make mastery of this skill seem a little daunting. But let's be honest, that what makes me like crafting them so much!
